About Me

I'm Zythe Akaru (she/they, 27), pronounced Z-eye-th Ah-kah-roo. I live with my lovely wife, silly sister, 3 cats, and leopard gecko. I currently work in an office but enjoy creating art and supporting my fellow artists of all kinds in my free time. I have LOADS of original and fan characters, which you can find clicking the "More" button, along with where you can find me on the interwebs!

My Work

I love to make people smile with my art! I'm always learning and practicing, and hope to have my own small business some day, creating traditional artworks including character designs, drawings, paintings, canvas pours, and custom figures/toys/dolls. I'm Zythe, or Liz (she/they, 27), and my main characters are Zythe Akaru (pronounced Z-eye-th Ah-kah-roo), the grey-blue pegasus, and Love Loaf, the bread sheep. I have a LOAD of other characters, from a hodge-podge for the MLP universe to wholly original creations. Last I attempted to rangle them all, I reached 85, then promptly lost count and gave up. I also dabble in custom toys, figures, and dolls, but my favorite art form will probably always be sketching, pencil on paper! Part of what attracts me to traditional artwork is the way it can never truly be captured in a digital format, and I love being able to see someone hold my art in their hands, see the way a glitter border on a badge shifts in the light, or find the tiny imperfections that make every piece unique. I admire a ton of digital artists along with traditional ones, and those who do both!Interested in a commission?
